Hilton Head Round 1

First round at Harbour Town is over, I´m back at the hotel and pleased with my first round result.

Unfortunately I was not able to take a good chance on my last green from 3 feet, but overall 2 under par is ok. I´m not that far away and my game was good in general, I just hit some poor shots on 14 and 17 where I made bogey. As last week, I think it´s all about being patient, the shots and chances are there. It´s just about the putts right now, I´m not holing too much especially from a distance between 10 and 20 feet. Not must makes of course, but it would be nice to see some of them drop.

In Augusta I had also a few short missed putts, my long game felt good and I placed my ball very often in a perfect position. Sunday´s last five hole were different, even though it felt not that special. I holed three putts from about 10 to 15 feet on 14, 17 and 18, 15 was a two putt birdie and 16 was just about 3 feet. Overall it was a step into the right direction and I know that my hard work during my time off will pay off one day.

I´m going for a run now, we´ll see what happens tomorrow morning on better greens, so keep your fingers crossed
